The pilot in-take of my 8-week Home Electrification 101 online course kicks off Monday September 22.

The idea of the course is to "open-source" the brain of an experienced electrician who has seen hundreds of homes and overcome their challenges when retrofitting efficient electric appliances. It aims to upskill key people involved in guiding home electrification to make planning and execution easy to follow.

Each week we’ll work through real scenarios — sequencing upgrades, rebates, and technologies like heat pump hot water systems, induction cooktops, solar, home batteries, RCACs and EV charging. By the end, you’ll be able to develop a detailed electrification plan to replicate over and over, to achieve great outcomes.

What you’ll get:

• I’ll be leading the training, with Econome providing the platform and support
• It’s designed for tradies, building designers, energy assessors and community volunteers working in electrification or sustainability, Australia-wide
• There’s a mix of self-paced content and live sessions (full cohort experience), or you can choose to just access the self-paced option
• Content in the live sessions will be personalised to suit the context you work in and the level of experience/knowledge you have
• You’ll also get access to a community of people working on the same challenges. (full cohort experience only)
